My Friend Tyson

Tyson is now becoming a pretty famous cuber internationally. Here he is solving the Rubik’s Cube while singing “take me out to the ball game”:

Other appearances of Tyson are in Beauty and the Geek 2 and he helped Will Smith learn how to solve the Rubik’s Cube for The Pursuit of Happiness.

  • Education should pretty much be available to everyone in the world. Due to limited resources in some of the developing countries (like my home country), I can see why many people don’t have access to education. That’s definitely not the case in Iran:

The efforts of the Iranian government to deny Bahá’ís the right to education can only be seen as a coordinated effort to eradicate the Bahá’í community as a viable group within Iranian society.

I’m hopeful that if we make the world aware of this injustice, the powers in charge may eventually restore this right so that future generations of Iranian Baha’is will be able to survive in a world where you can’t do much without education.

  • The command line utility cmd has finally received an upgrade from Microsoft. PowerShell 1.0 came out recently and we can finally use ls and grep in Windows without needing to install cygwin or to hunt down a bunch of ported versions of the linux command line apps.

  • Oops… I’ve started a blog

Just getting started here. Bear with me. Not much of a writer, but I figured I should give it a shot and maybe I’ll improve. I’ll be talking about a bunch of things here… mainly, my current interests: web technologies, the Baha’i Faith, salsa, poi… that’s it for now, can’t do too many things while still working full time.
